About us
Dr. Sigrid Amann, as a veterinarian with a Ph.D. and trained animal welfare officer, is responsible for the 3R-compliant conduct and monitoring of regulatory animal experiments, drawing on her extensive experience in managing clinical veterinary GCP studies as well as toxicological and eco/aquatic toxicological GLP studies. She is your ideal contact when it comes to conducting animal experiments with the highest quality standards and maximum significance, while keeping animal welfare in focus.
She is furthering her education part-time to become a European Registered Toxicologist (ERT) as a member of the German Society for Toxicology (GT).
The economic management of Toxlicon GmbH is led primarily by Sigrid Amann, who has a background in successfully completing the "General Management Studies" at FHW Berlin.
Dr. Ute Haßmann, European Registered Toxicologist (ERT) studied food chemistry and tolxicology at the Karlsruher Institut of Technology (KIT). She gained large experience in the research and development of in vitro test methods through her years in molecular biochemical research during her PhD and her postodctoral years at the University of Vienna. Further focuses of her work include analytical questions as well as environmental fate studies. Since 2014, Ute has been utilizing this deep expertise to advise clients on regulatory toxicological issues and possible alternative approaches, all the way to approval.
In addition to her activities for Toxlicon GmbH, Ute works as a scientific editor for the German Society for Toxicology (GT).
As a lecturer in food toxicology at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, Ute imparts her knowledge to students.
Our values
Integrity is our first priority!
We foster an open and honest relationship with our customers and laboratory partners, where reliability and trustworthiness are of the utmost priority. Our goal is to deliver the highest possible quality standards in project execution. We ensure this through meticulous project management and regular quality controls and audits. We not only take responsibility for excellent project execution but are also fully aware of our social and environmental responsibilities.
We build value-oriented, long-lasting partnerships with our laboratory partners.
Our laboratory partners
We like to refer to the laboratories we work with as "our" laboratories because they play a significant role in our success. The foundation of our strong relationships with these laboratories is long-lasting, mutually respectful collaboration.
We maintain personal relationships and regularly visit and audit our laboratories to ensure this close collaboration.
We ensure high-quality study documentation by providing and developing premium report templates and thorough careful study monitoring.
Before the start of any major project, we bring together all involved parties - from the technical assistants to the study director - in a setup meeting.
Social responsibility
Srotoshwini Trust
Indian orphanage at Vadadora.
With full dedication, the head of the orphanage and her team work tirelessly to provide the children with not only a loving home but also to prepare them to become well-educated young individuals ready for the world of science.
During our visit on-site, we were able to witness the impressive work being done and the harmonious interactions among everyone there. We are happy to be able to financially support this orphanage.
Implementation of the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG)
Although not yet legally requested for smaller companies, of course it is a matter for us that we only cooperate with laboratories that live our values. Precisely defined in our code of conduct (Toxlicon GmbH Supplier Code of Conduct) this document serves as basis of every collaboration. With this, our partner laboratories confirm to comply with human rights and animal ethics in their laboratories and along their own supply chains as well as to take all necessary measures for the long-term protection of health and environment in the interests of sustainability within the scope of the given possibilities. Through constant exchange and close cooperation on a par with the laboratories, we appreciate to support the laboratories on this path.
